Mr. Ian Ong Jia Shwen was awarded with the Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours, completed the Bar Vocational Training with Commendation and earned his Master of Laws with Commendation from Northumbria University, UK. He was subsequently called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in March 2025.
He undertook his pupillage with Messrs. Derek Chong and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in April 2026. During his pupillage he was mainly exposed to matters focused on Civil Litigation including drafting cause papers, drafting submissions and assisting in different types of executions.
In May 2026, he joined K.H. Ong & Ng as a Litigation Legal Associate. He is presently engaged in General Civil Litigation including but not limited to :-
